Marko Vuckovic designer from Serbia has designed The Saturn Watch and Saturn Clock. The great source of inspiration for these concepts is the planet Saturn, the second largest planet after Jupiter. Marko makes an attempt to change the way the hour is indicated.
Marko considered it boring that typical clocks and watches have the same appearance with two or three hands moving the same way. So he got rid of these elements and replaced them with two discs. The discs have holes which reveal the time while rotating on a dial. Only the digits representing the present time are revealed and the rest remain concealed under the disc.
In spite of the fact that the clock and the watch look rather uncommon, they have nothing confusing in reading the time. The Saturn Clock also has a backlight that turns on automatically when a room becomes too dark.
Among other successful projects, there are The Tree Bench, The Grass Lamp and The Coral Lamp.
