Brooklyn studio Plant designed a knife constructed from recycled paper.

The handle is made of wood, with a polished steel center screw. The blade of this simple, contemporary handmade letter opener is constructed from a fusion of 100% post consumer recycled paper and a clear, 100% water-based resin made using cashew nut shells.

Designer Bjarke Ballisager decided to sharpen leftover strips of Richlite used to create a counter and came away with the idea for this paper knife.
