The restaurant is located in the surroundings of the Thompson Hotel, Victoria Park Memorial. II BY IV Design and gh3 have designed a dining pavilion for the Scarpetta restaurant in Toronto, Canada . II BY IV is responsible for the interior of the pergola structure.
It is an amazing restaurant with space that almost begs for attention letting the diners to experience, see and be seen in an open area that communicates with its surroundings well.
The Restaurant looks from the outside like a long cube. It is so modern that you feel like eating in another world. It is close to a pool that makes it even more relaxing. It is in one word beautiful, but I think it works only in the warm days, because of its open space walls and entrance.
Although currently a seasonal space, the pavilion was designed to embrace winter entertaining via its all-weather permanent furnishings and reflective pool which doubles as an ice rink. Tinted concrete subtly marks the Pavilion boundaries and the mix of greenery, perforated metal, chrome and white furnishings allow this open air patio a voyeuristic communication with its busy down town surroundings while maintaining a sense of privacy.
